They are also washable, so you can be saved from buying a new one when going out. But how safe are they? When a mask offers sufficient breathability, it makes it less efficient. That’s a fact.

N95 masks are the only approved mask for frontliners in the US. It is certified by the National Institute of Occupational Safety. To those who want to ensure safety more than anything else, no other mask should suit you but this. The problem with n95 masks is that they are more expensive than other brands and that they are not washable. They come in one design and are not also readily available.

Kn95 Masks

Kn95 masks look and function like the n95 but have yet to get a certification from the National Institute of Occupational Safety. They are made from China and were tried and tested at the height of the pandemic to be safe and efficient.  They can assure you of the reliability of n95 masks at a discounted price.

Those who know how to sew are making their own face masks. They also share these with their family and friends. The trouble with customized facemasks is that they may be made to ensure more comfort rather than protection. But homemade face mask can also be designed to enhance protection where space is provided for some additional filtration.
